Culinary & Wine Helicopter Tours in Armenia

Combine aerial sightseeing with Armenian food and wine on a private helicopter flight that lands where the table is set: at a winery in Aragatsotn, on the shore of a mountain reservoir, on the beach at Lake Sevan, deep in the Arevatsag Canyon or beside the crater lake of Mount Azhdahak. Every flight takes off from the Jrvezh heliport on the edge of Yerevan, flies over monasteries, gorges and volcanic peaks, and includes waiting time on the ground while you taste, eat and explore.

Starting Price: Private culinary and wine helicopter experiences start from 575,000 AMD per private flight.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How much does a gastro and wine helicopter experience in Armenia cost? Private culinary and wine helicopter experiences start from 575,000 AMD per private flight. The final price depends on the route, the flight time and the aircraft. Wine tastings and picnics are priced separately. Tell us your preferred route and group size for an exact quote.
  • Is the food and wine included in the price? No. The flight price covers the helicopter, the flight and the waiting time on the ground. Wine tastings, winery tours and picnics are paid separately; we arrange them for you, so let us know any dietary preferences in advance.
  • How many people can join the flight? Each flight is private to your group. The Robinson R66 Turbine seats up to 4 passengers and the Airbus H125 (AS 350) up to 5, plus the pilot. The Arevatsag Canyon and Mount Azhdahak routes are operated on the Airbus H125 only.
  • Which wineries and picnic spots do you fly to? You land at Armenia Wine, Vanardi Estate, Voskevaz or Armas, or at picnic locations such as Jrvezh Park, the Azat and Aparan reservoirs, Noy Land on Lake Sevan, the Arevatsag Canyon and the crater lake of Mount Azhdahak.
  • How long does the experience last? Flight time ranges from about 20 minutes (Jrvezh Park) to about 100 minutes (Arevatsag Canyon), plus 1 hour on the ground on most routes, 2 hours in the Arevatsag Canyon and 1–2 hours at Azhdahak.
  • What happens if the weather is bad on my flight day? Helicopter flights depend on weather. If dense fog, low cloud, poor visibility, strong wind, or heavy rain or snow make flying unsafe, the flight is rescheduled to another suitable date at no extra cost. Cold temperature alone does not prevent flying.
  • When is the best time of year for a wine helicopter tour? Flights operate year-round from sunrise to sunset. September and October bring the grape harvest and the most vivid vineyard colours, while late spring and summer offer green landscapes and long, clear days for picnics.
  • How far in advance should I book? As early as possible, ideally one to two weeks ahead, so we can confirm the aircraft, coordinate the winery or picnic and secure your preferred time. Harvest-season flights fill quickly.
